FESE represents 46 Securities Exchanges (in equities, bonds, and derivatives) through 21 Full Members from 30 countries as well as 3 Observer Members from European emerging markets.

Full Membership is granted to regulated securities and derivatives markets within the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

Observer Membership applies to any exchange or a regulated market that has a specific interest in EU regulation for securities markets and from a country other than those entitled to full membership .
