The Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) is looking for an experienced professional to support the policy team. The Senior Policy Adviser will report to the Head of Policy. The successful applicant will have experience in EU affairs in financial services, ideally in capital markets.

 

We are offering an opportunity for career development in an international trade association with Brussels (Belgium) as the operating base, providing hybrid facilities. This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to engage in policy and advocacy work around capital markets, combined with team and project management tasks.

 

Main responsibilities include:

 

The Senior Policy Adviser will demonstrate skills in policy, project management, good planning and motivation skills to make sure projects are delivered in a timely and effective manner.

 

The person should be able to grasp and contribute in a meaningful way to technical and policy discussions and conduct research independently. Good communication skills to translate complex information into easy-to-understand messaging are essential.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A master’s degree, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in EU/national trade associations in financial services
  • Proven team organisation skills
  • Ability to work at strategic level, with a strong can-do attitude
  • Understanding of the areas in which FESE works and interest in capital markets
  • Good organisational and communication skills, proactive, self-motivated, result-oriented, with a strong team spirit and interpersonal skills
  • Speak and write English fluently, with experience and confidence in public speaking and presenting arguments to various audience
